The continuing construction saga

Il 10 di novembre--The work goes on. There has been some progress but not much. Domenico, our favorite muratore has been creating his magic. Usually when we show up, he'll be there by himself doing work on the rock walls. We had a portion of our outside wall that enclosed a window and a small door that looked like a disaster. Three days, some cement, and the rocks taken out from where the arches now exist, Domenico working alone, transforms brutto (ugly) to bellissimo. Before and after.

The plumbers are back. They are now laying the heating tubes to where the radiators will be. There will be about 16 radiators throughout our house. Many of them are required by law, even though we will have a large airtight fireplace, a wood burning stove in the kitchen and a small airtight wood burning stove in the bedroom.

The "control room" under the pizza oven.

For some reason a wall was built along the wall downstairs. It covered up all the water outlets that were just installed. The plumbers show up and knock holes through the new wall to regain access? The plumbers weren't happy!
